giving the themes a try

So here goes, thought I might start giving the themes a go. I haven't had much to blog about that I can without putting my best friends personal inforation out there too so it's good to have something to blog about.

When did I first know?
That's an excellent question, one I've been thinking about lately. The friend mentioned above actually asked me about this a few days ago. And here is the result of the discussion that followed. I first knew I liked boys as more than friends in the 1st/2nd grade when I had my very first crush on my best friend at the time. Chad was an absolute cutie but he moved away at the end of the 2nd grade. I actually ended up competing against him later in high school when I was on the track team....He was still cute. :) I first discovered that the word the rest of the world would use to describe such a feeling was "gay" in about the 6th grade. That's when I began to realize that there are those who would not and do not approve. As for me, while the world will call it gay, for me all it is love. True, simple, pure love. Nothing more, nothing less. And while it may fall outside of what is the "norm" that doesn't make it any less significant or powerful.

Thanksgiving break.

Well it's been pretty crazy this thanksgiving break. I had an invite to go to a friend's (thanks Christina!!!!) but unfortunately I needed to stay in Atlanta to get a lot of work done. However, I actually am now getting things done with my experiment in my research lab!!! It was nice having a few days to just work on my experiment and do homework with no pressure. All of my friends were gone though so I started to get very lonely. And then the MARTA bus drove by me not once but twice. I clearly need to change something about how I stand at the bus stop. I have truly missed my friends and especially a certain friend who I like a lot and also likes me in return. (There may be some potential in this relationship so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.) I can honestly say I am very greatful for the safe return of all my friends from this thanksgiving break.

feeling blue.

Hey all,

i've been feeling kinda down lately and apparently it is very obvious. My roomate has asked me about 15 times in the last 2 days why I'm sad and what's the matter. I don't really know what's up though. I've been stressed with classes but i'm just in one of those moods. So I ask, what do you do to feel better when you're feeling blue but there is no apparent reason?

so confusing.

All I can say is boys and relationships are complicated. To quote a good friend of mine, "you have a penis, so that automatically makes you a little stupid sometimes. Add two penises in a relationship and and thats most likely going to make it stupid squared. I'm just saying..." I love my friend. she puts things in such an interesting point of view. Los chicos son muy complicado. :(
